Counseling is my passion! I find happiness in helping clients with their life situations. I am a

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a certified school counselor. I received my bachelor’s degree from Angelo State University and my master’s degree from Sam Houston State University. I also have my Ph.D. in Counselor Education from SHSU. My research focuses on the importance of building relationships in today’s ever-changing society.

I have worked in the field of education for 20 years and enjoy working with adolescents and
teens. I have worked as a teacher and counselor in Spring ISD, Magnolia ISD, and Aldine
ISD. My counseling experience includes working with children (10 years and up), adults, and couples in individual and group settings. I have specialized training in anxiety, depression, trauma, suicide, self-harm and students with ADHD. I am also able to provide parent consultation.

My guiding theory of counseling hails from Carl Rogers. He believed in the client being the
center of his or her own therapy, and I agree with that principle. I believe person-centered
therapy guides clients to self-discovery and builds greater self-worth and confidence. I also
integrate strengths-based counseling into my sessions. I believe in the power of positivity
and focusing on what we find within ourselves.

I look forward to working with you for your counseling needs!

Regina holds evening sessions in the office but is able to see clients through telehealth.
