I am currently in the Clinical Mental Counseling program at Liberty University and anticipate graduation in May 2024. In addition, life experiences have led me to counseling. I am a wounded combat veteran’s wife. A home school mom and tutor, an immigrant from China, a piano teacher, a trauma survivor and a Christian.
I always have had a heart for helping others and my clients are varied. I work with children as young as 4ys old through the lifespan. I enjoy working with couples, individuals, and groups. I am a certified SYMBIS Assessment Facilitator for premarital and marriage counseling.
I have additional training in EMDR for trauma, Grief Counseling and treatment, Suicide Prevention, Military and Veteran training for Eating disorders, Sexual trauma, Substance disorder, Self Care, Grief, Crisis Response, Suicidal ideation,
Disordered Drinking, Intimate Partner Violence: Trauma-Informed Interventions for Survivors and Youth Mental Health First Aid USA.
Having taught many years of piano teaching and homeschooling, I humbly learned that it was not enough to just have the heart. It is paramount to tailor my way of helping to meet the specific needs of others. I believe it is the same in the mental health counseling field. Your struggle or hurt is unique, personal, and significant, and it is my privilege to help you feel heard, seen, understood, cared for and to tailor methods or strategies to help you overcome your challenges. Together, we’ll walk through this journey toward growth, healing, and a better life.
