Body Awareness Therapy

When someone experiences trauma or ongoing mental health challenges, the connection between the mind, body, and emotions often becomes disrupted. One of the first steps in healing is recognizing the physical and emotional tension caused by triggers. From there, individuals can begin to learn effective techniques to manage that tension. The goal of BAT is to help individuals maintain a relaxed and grounded state in the body—similar to the aims of yoga—but without any religious associations.
What is Body Awareness Therapy (BAT)?
BAT is a holistic practice designed to support healing on physical, emotional, and mental levels. It incorporates movement, breathwork, and mindfulness techniques to help individuals reconnect with their bodies and emotions in a safe and supportive way.
